but honestly no matter what score it gets at least I can put in my conscience that it will probably still be a better movie than any of the Bayformers. I'm going to be watching it this Friday with friends.

I think they need to try just not having any humans involved in Transformers movies.

Reviews have been mixed from what I've seen or they were initially. I'm super excited to see it regardless.

I think he's referring to the fourth movie (Age of Extinction).

I wouldn't exactly call it "pedophile laws," personally What was referenced was Romeo & Juliet laws/clauses, where two people are together when both are under the legal age of adulthood but, due to a separation in age, as they continue to be together, one of them passes into adulthood while the other is below the legal age limit.

It's essentially the type of law for things like a 17 year old dating a 15 year old and then the 17 year old turns 18 while the 15 year old either stays 15 or turns 16.

In the movie, the main character's daughter is technically underage and her boyfriend is above age, but they started dating when he was underage as well. The father originally sees the teenage boy as a pedophile and the teenager defends himself with said law mentioned above.

In all honesty, they are missing a ton of the Beast Wars characters.

Honestly, for me, the biggest one missing is Dinobot. I loved his arc in Beast Wars. He was one of the few characters in that series that wasn't just thrown into a "good guy" or "bad guy" category and had a lot of emotional depth and character development over time.

I think that's the fourth movie with the Dinosaurs right? That scene was awkward because the whole scene was a set up for a "joke" about the Romeo and Juliet law. And then there was other awkward stuff like that tentacle monster grabbing the daughter or how it zooms in on her legs when Mark Walhberg was mentioning about her shorts shrinking.

Michael Bay has nothing to do with this? It looks exactly the same in the trailer.

He's a "producer" so I imagine he has some input, but very minimal.

That's fine with me, they'd butcher whatever story they try to come up with for Dinobot.

You don't want Dinobot in this movie since he wouldn't be the same Dinobot (see the Netflix series for the Monkey's Paw).

I think Rattrap's problem is how to get around having a giant rat running around.

Yeah, but the fact that he literally carries around the law with him is really fucking sus. Like... they purposely wrote that into the movie. They could have so easily just NOT done that.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. That is a weird thing to include in a movie.
