They call him History's Greatest Monster. Why is he so disliked. I only realized he's still alive and still doing work for good causes. Why is it he seems to be disliked so much? He seems like a great guy.

He was an obviously decent person who was vilified for supposed political failings.

That's the joke behind the 'history's greatest monster' line. Satirizing the manner in which a nice guy is demonized for partisan reasons with absurd results.

I think even Jimmy Carter said he was a bad president. He did plenty of things that are good afterwards, but his presidency was a disaster. And just to twist the knife, when he left office he found out the blind trust he set up to run his peanut farm did such a shitty job he was basically bankrupt.
