No joke I want some prescription polarised sunglasses, so i get that that technology will be more expensive. Just annoyed that the shape the machine cute the plastic is what's adding the price.

That seems logical though. Knowing nothing about glass cutting, I have to imagine cutting a circle is far more difficult or complex than a square. Basically the reverse Wendys

They seem pretty cheap to me. I don't know what they used to be, but you can say basically everything used to be cheaper and you'd be right.

Can't say I've ever found that to be the case, most cost variations come from the lenses and the brand that makes the frames, not literally the shape lol

Another way of looking at it is that both are functional so the more expensive ones are purely a fashion accessory and are therefore priced according to trends which makes perfect sense.
