I've been preaching Nuts and Bolts is great even from the beginning, no one listens though. Typical internet groupthink always behind the times. Won't be long before you see a deluge of articles titled "Why Banjo Nuts and Bolts is actually Great".

What exactly does Nuts and Bolts have in common with Tears of the Kingdom other than the ability to build vehicles? Because that alone doesn't make a game good.

Exploring the world and doing quests are incentives. Maybe not for you, but clearly they are for the people enjoying the game.

That's literally not true. Even if YOU don't feel an incentive to visit every nook and cranny, there's most definitely an incentive to visit all 4 regions. There's even an incentive to those who's played Zelda before to want to get the Master Sword which also requires some exploring.

It's fine if a game isn't your cup of tea, but saying there's no incentive to do anything in BotW is about as truthful as the people acting like you need to build shit all the time or ultrahand all the time in TotK to beat the game.

The training area is about the most you are forced to even touch ultrahand or the building if you dont like it so much. After getting off the tutorial island, most of the game you can ignore it, especially the building.

This is it. As a vehicle builder to solve puzzles it's pretty damn good. But as a result it removed all platforming from the levels which sucks. TotK is BotW but with building elements, and despite what some people would say BotW is still very much a Zelda game at its core.

Well Mario Kart is a clear spin-off instead of a sequel that actively makes fun of the fans who liked the previous games.

Mario Kart was never meant to be a follow up to Super Mario World. Nintendo wanted a F-Zero for casuals and that became Super Mario Kart.
