No it's not and I can't fathom for the life of me why people genuinely think this. If you're stretching a couple of pizzas for a couple of people out for a couple of days then yeah, maybe; but otherwise, no. At the moment you want to go for the frozen and non-perishables over the fresh. Sure the quality's not as great but and the fresh were about on par with the frozen as it is today, but it's still cheaper. Unless you live in the boonies. it can be in the sense that you can also eat overpriced unhealthy garbage from the grocery store, too. but in general its not if you put effort into cooking. Pro tip: wait for chicken to go on sale and buy a ton of it. Chicken freezes really well compared to other meats. One pack of chicken nets me five meals. Pork is still decently priced.
