Or do you just see yourself in the same spot

Whenever I try, life beats me down even harder

I could see a major career shift either in the next year because tech layoffs, or in like 10 years when i have enough saved to do something chill/part time/with summers off until i retire

I moved to the other side of the world less than a year ago. That feels like a pretty big change.

Nope.

I'm pretty content with my life these days, even though I know that my lifestyle is killing me.

But I'm just gonna keep doing my thing until the day that I don't wake up.

10 years ago I left the life I was living.

I have to move every few years, so my life does technically change, but as a general rule my life is pretty samey regardless of where I am.

Drastic changes incoming actually

I did a couple years ago.

Was fortunately able to make it somewhat gradual as a shift.

Basically became a "professional" adult over the course of around 9 months...with the end resulting in me getting a foot in the door on an office-job career and not looking back.

It was overall a complete life change. Before that, I was just a loser (in societal terms anyway) banging my head against the wall with insecurities about adulthood all over the place.
