I got an email about their new product/launch - tiered system with a monthly plan (i.e. 2-3 movies a month for $10). I'm not quite clear on the points system - maybe different movies and showings take different amounts of points? Anybody else heard much about this?

I feel bad for those theatre employees. I remember dealing with all those moviepass people and how hard they were trying to scam the system. Trying to refund tickets to a different credit card, wanting to swap to an movie that it didn't cover, trying to buy movies days in advance.

At this point, I don't see what they can offer that the chains don't already do with their own version of it.

The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

Unfortunately the Regal theater here closed some time ago, the remaining one isn't affiliated with a large chain.

10$ for 2 movies is a pretty good deal .. but then I barely see movies in the theater these days :/
