There's a big music scene here in Nashville, every now and then I'm surprised hearing a certain band is still very much around.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is doing a cavern show for 4 days this weekend, lot of people in town for it. So I got to talking to this girl, and she mentioned being in the area a couple years ago to see Ween.

I was vaguely familiar, so asked if that was the "Push the little daisies" band I used to see on Beavis and Butthead 30 years ago. She laughed and said yeah.

So 30 years later, Ween still exists, Ween still tours and has a lot of fans. I had no clue.

Who surprised you a lot when you learned they still play music?

My friend's dad went to see Bruce Springsteen a few days ago.

I'm not surprised he's still playing, but the details blew me away. He started at bang on 7pm with no opening act and played for 3 hours. Apparently he played with the enthusiasm of an up and coming punk band. He has like 40 shows booked this year.

Dude is 73.

I've heard he does one of the best shows money can buy, I've watched some of it online, guy gives 100% every night.

I didn't realize he was still touring also, id go see him once.

The Marshall Tucker Band did a concert here last year celebrating 50 years performing. After hearing how they sound all I can say is just because you can perform for 50 years doesn't mean you should.

I don't have much to say except King Gizzard rocks. That new video for Gila Monster is both funny and awesome, I've watched it a dozen times.

Its good to know some countries know how to make good rock music in 2023.

I saw Blue Oyster Cult and Ratt at a festival a few years ago.

Thought everyone involved in both bands was dead

They are here doing a concert in a cave all weekend, they seem to come around once a year here.

I recently got into them and I live in Atlanta, not too far away. But since school is out and I have 3 kids I would have to plan the trip far in advance another time.
