not really a spoiler but I'll mark it anyways. Not really. There's a title card for the next movie before the scrolling credits hit but there's nothing after the credits.

I believe it ends that way because it was originally revealed as Part 1. So yeah there's gonna be another Spider-Verse movie.

I usually get another refreshment partway through movies, I usually miss like a minute. But I stayed in my seat the whole movie. Guess I really liked it lol.

I kinda want solo movies of some of these Spider people later. They could make movies for years just exploring all the different universes

Does this finally end the superhero fatigue argument? People are willing to pay to see superhero movies, just not hot garbos like Disney superhero, or Disney movies in general. BTW, lightyear director and producer got fired lmao

hmmm sort of. I had the issue with the original and I rewatched the first last night and it was more annoying to watch then Across the Spiderverse. Id say some is style but its better than the first

I really loved the movie but I wish it was a bit more ended. With a bit more of a conclusion its an easy 10/10 for me

Do people who complain about the ending also complain about the Empire Strikes Back? At least the next one is coming out in 9 months and not in 3 years.

Just because ESB or Infinity War ended on down notes, doesnt mean they ended without closure.

Across the Spider-Verse had closure from a character journey standpoint. Miles (and Gwen to a certain extent) realize who they are and what they are fighting for. They have finally figired out their own path, and now everything is set up. The ending is kind of a beginning. Felt like the ending of some season 1 TV shows in a way.

i would rather take a really well paced story that takes time to flesh out a two parter than a meaningless closure so they need to spend time building up a new story for the second part (or trilogy in this case)

That ending sealed the perfect setup for a wild ass ride coming in 9 months.

It also makes sense the way it ended if you know that Across and Beyond the Spider-Verse were originally going to be a single movie

I definitey give this movie a 10. But it does feel narratively incomplete. I really hope this movie does extraordinarily well because its so much better than a large amount of movies that have come out lately and gotten the $1B

in some ways. But just pointing out that both Infinity War and ESB closed out their stories, but just ended poorly for the main characters.

ESB in particular does setup the rescue Han section. But the rest of the plot of RotJ isnt from ESB.

Across the Spiderverse does have a lot of hanging plot threads that feel like they will make up the majority of the next movie. I Can definitely see why that would annoy people especially those who didnt know

also since I watched Into The Spiderverse again just want to clarify something revealed towards the end of Across:

Miguel says Miles is the original anomaly that caused this because he got bit by Spider 42. But isnt Gwen already in Miles class before he gets bit? Or did I see the wrong thing when I rewatched? (I was slightly distracted by my toddler)

I'd watch it but I can't take anymore of this multiverse crap. It already tainted Bayonetta 2.

oh for sure, this is what i wanted from a sequel. it met my expectations and then some!

i loved Spider-Punk and Indian Spidey btw. lol

Spider-Punk was the shit. And the animation they did with every aspect of him being animated at a different frame rate should net them all the awards alone. That was some magic.
