I haven't read it but reddit keeps recommending subreddits that talk about it because I keep clicking on them because it's hilarious.

I heard some speculation that this will not last very long at all and she might be back by the time The Marvels hits theaters. I can't imagine a comic character being dead in the comics when their first major movie comes out

Yeah, I think everyone is pretty sure this is just a dumb way of making her come back as a mutant instead of an Inhuman and possibly with the MCU's cosmic glowy powers instead of her stretchy ones.

I can't believe this character is dead.

And will remain dead.

And won't come back in six months months to a year from now.

One of the things I love about her is her powers so I'll be very sad if they change it. I already was mad when the show did it

That's a worse Reed Richards face than the one in that topic where he has the telescope eye.

I was skeptical about the change too but I honestly thought it worked pretty well. Especially since it was a request from Kamala's creator because elasticity powers never look good in live-action, and they were concerned about perverts using the powers as an excuse to perv over a 15-year-old girl.

I think there was a bad guy who was trying to kill Mary Jane and Kamala disguised herself as MJ and got stabbed.

And even though her elasticity gives her a healing factor, that didn't help.

And even though she's apparently mentioned a few times that she can't shapeshift anymore.
