Literally 50 years old cringe lord that can't manage shit

Was it really his fault he was told not to make 13 versus and had to make something else instead?

I like Nomura, though KH3 wasn't really laid out in a satisfying way. I feel like people blame him for stuff that he's not really involved with, which muddies the waters.

A lot of his project especially the whole nova cystallis had messy and very bloated development. I am not a square enix fan exactly, hell i'd put them below EA or activision simply because i care more about square's IPs. (RIP deus ex, i hope thq nordic did it right for you) but can't blame square when ff xv's development time surpass literally a console's lifetime.

Like his skills is creating spectacle (kingdom hearts had a lot of cool moments for example) i do admit that. He's good at that, but he shouldn't be allowed to head a development team or write. (twewy was good, that's it)

Nomura is good at directing a scene and creating spectacles. For example, i love kingdom hearts little details like the different effects with keyblades, how the cutscenes are portrayed, animation directing, etc. His games has a lot of these charms. His actual design and characters are meh honestly.

But he is a terrible writer and manager. Almost every project he led was bloated, for whatever reason.

Just want to point out that the Nova Crystallis was not Nomura's idea. Nojima was responsible for the Nova Crystallis. Final Fantasy XIII (Toriyama), Final Fantasy Versus XIII (Nomura), and Final Fantasy Agito XIII (Tabata) were all formed from it but from different interpretations of it by each director. The only Nova Crystallis game he was more than just a character designer for was Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

His team for Versus XIII kept getting pulled to finish the mess of the XIII trilogy along with the shitty system SE developed for Nova Crystallis not being good enough for what Nomura planned.

Also, Nomura wanted a 1:1 remake of FF7. Kitase and Nojima were the ones who wanted to change the story completely and he had to fight them to keep it as close to the original as possible.

The people you're looking to blame are Kitase and Nojima.
