He won't though because he's not loyal and he's not a team player." Trump Supporters: "Oh? Was the GOP loyal to Trump? Were they team players? Trump owes the establishment nothing but destruction." So moderate republicans (and former Trump supporters that were burned) that support DeSantis are put in a similar position to what liberals experienced in 2016+ where people tried using the best arguments and making the best cases they could for why Trump was not going to be a good president and that he was going to lose for sure. I think if DeSantis wants a chance here, he needs to create a scenario or conjure a feeling where Trump supporters en masse feel betrayed by Trump personally. Because arguments, memes, tweets, etc isn't really going to work in his favor for the primary.
