I own a home and live by myself in LA. My cousin is moving to LA as she got a job here. I would geographically be the closest family member to her new job. instead of her living on her own and going through the trouble of finding a place to stay, I offered my spare room.

would it be greedy for me to charge my cousin rent for living with me? I dont intend on charging a lot, maybe just 1000 a month, which is way below the average rent price in Los Angeles.
