I've only played BotW so far, but curious how much better TotK is.

Yes. Totk is a massive grind of monotonous mini dungeons

having finished totk... i'm still not really into this style of zelda game either way, but i had way more fun with totk than botw. that said... and i'm not going to spoil the content, but i will mark this as spoilers anyway, totk's story is some goof ass anime shit.

I hate botw now

After playing TotK for a couple of days, I felt that they were about even.

The more I play TotK, the less I like it.

Totk is better in most ways and has tons of quality of life improvements. Really the only thing I miss from botw is the remote bomb ability.

Botw is like the OoT kid link portion, where you collect a few mcguffins and meet people at the various villages before encountering the big bad for the first time. Very simple and not as satisfying on it's own.

Totk is like the OoT post time skip portion where you're seeing how everyone changed and there's just way more you can do in a more expanded world. Way more enjoyable and feels more like a complete game.

based on what i've played so far, TotK is like BotW but bigger and better. so yeah, im incling more towards the former...

Totk is way better than Botw

The powers from botw are better. They felt more like things you actually used to interact with the environment.

In totk, both ascend and fuse are just personal buffs for link. You literally don't even need to go into the wheel to use fuse for arrows.

I hope in the next game they replace fuse (& ultrahand) with a legitimate crafting system, and turn ascend into a consumable item that you can buy or craft.

It would be better, IMO, if you just built your own weapons instead of the find-and-fuse shit they have going on.
