I care that these people turn around and speak about the game as if they're experts suddenly. It's the same as someone reading a synopsis about a book and claiming they "read the book".

Summer is coming up and the heat kills my motivation. I either finish now or I don't finish ever because I'll be playing something else when summer ends.

Also I am an expert. I've read many books.

Who cares? They're not stopping you from playing the way you want so why worry about it?

It's about any game with depth that people rush through on their first casual playthrough. Speedrunners are fine - they've probably already experienced the whole game and love it enough to keep playing.

I'm talking about the people who mar their experience with a game to get onto the next thing quickly.

I get skipping pointless side activities, but is weird that some people actually skip all side quests. I
Like a classic assassins creed game, youre not going to miss anything by not getting the thousand collectibles on the map, but you should at least do all the major quests.

I'm thinking people that rush through the new Zelda games just doing the major dungeons. You literally wouldn't even visit some of the side towns doing that.

Not true, I've already been to Hateno, Kakariko and even out to Alkala. There wasn't anything much to do yet so I just started doing the main quest.

Right - but some people don't even GO to those places - at all. They plan to beat the game in a 3 day weekend.

I really hate when reviewers do this. Rush through the game following the main quest map marker the whole way only to complain the game is too short and maybe unbalanced if they are getting their asses kicked near the end.

Like back when Nier Automata came out. This game is too short and a waste of money. Dude, you only played the first half of the story. Opening credits haven't even played yet.
