Just wondering if it's an actual good movie or not. Don't really do animated movies anymore, but I did it for Spider-Verse because I immediately heard amazing things and Miles being from Brooklyn is always gonna be a standout to me since I'm also from Brooklyn. If you are a Mario fan who can just sit back and enjoy a fun romp stuffed to bursting with references that range from nostalgic to modern, it's a fantastic movie. So I ended up watching it last night and it was pretty damn good though very short. Lots of nostalgia, but it wasn't overwhelming. All the VAs came off pretty great, especially Peach. Happy they got Charles Martinet in there. I was shocked they actually went with their origins being from Brooklyn like the old cartoons and games. They even reused the portal thing from the original live action movie. The most unrealistic thing about the movie was there was no NYPD while the city was being destroyed Thanos style. Even Spider-Verse handled that better. And yeah, Spider-Verse is still a MUCH better movie. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Mario movie is ok. It doesnt do anything heinous. Its veryyyyyy safe. Pays good tribute to the source material, and isnt an annoying product placement like Smurfs was. looks nice. That being said, it isnt very interesting and it wont surprise you. It is Merio. In movie form. Thats it.
