NYC just held a press conference stating they need more assistance if they keep sending people

my question is; why arent these people being sent to Montana or South Dakota or wherever else? Where theres more room for them

Montana and South Dakota doesn't want them plus there is very low economic activity in those areas plus the infrastructures there wouldn't be able to handle it. NYC on the other hand said "come thru", since NYC has a right to shelter law, and people are taking them up on their offer and now it's turned into a disaster.

Some of the asylum seekers aren't following the regulations of seeking asylum either. You have to seek asylum in the first country you enter next to your home country.

Most Fly over states are essential invisible as far as these and most other national matters go. Or most states not FL, NY, TX, CA, OR, or WA tbh.

I don't recall those states declaring themselves sanctuaries for illegal migration.

Because it's a federal government problem and they have basically been outright ignoring it.

NY state can't limit interstate travel. The best they can do is bus them to counties that are not actively trying to stop the surge, which is like only a handful in NY. Everybody else is opposing it because it's not the problem of states and counties. The migrant surge hurts the people already here.

That's why Adams is outright trying to get rid of the right to shelter law now.

The Fed needs to shift immigration funding from texas to NYC, if they're going to ship the people out of state then they don't need the funding.

Border states took in 200k in April alone. It's way worst over there.

NYC is at the brink and they're dealing with only 35k, which they're spending $8 million a day on, with about 65k in asylum process.

This is all a complete waste of money, since it hurts people already here and puts a drain on everything, especially when 60% of asylum claims are denied.

NYC has a right to shelter law, means anybody that comes here won't be left homeless like down there. People want to come to here. Nobody is forcing them. NYC has already has the highest migrants per capita. They're just providing the buses and going "well NYC doesn't mind taking you".

These are economic migrants and most of their asylum claims are denied. Most are coming here to make money, not escape persecution.

It's not just conservative thing. Most Democrats in the city are against this. This is more of a progressive thing.
