doesn't matter, the point is that this community which is normally obsessively anti-bigotry suddenly develops amnesia and willfully zeroed-in on the laundry aspect rather than the mother being consistently passive-aggressive about her child's sexuality. the only takeaway is that CE gets more of a dopamine hit from complaining about lazy children than actual bigots, which says a lot.

Anyway, the homophobic mother thing can really suck but it isn't an unsolvable problem TC, the 100% guaranteed to work method is a homophobia exorcism, all you need is a bunch of powerful hallucinogens, a black cloak, a sickle or scythe, and a friend that looks like Jesus. You could also go for the Christmas ghost version but that only really works on Christmas, nobody's gonna take a Christmas ghost seriously in May...
