The next beta(Server Slam) was very nice in that regard though. On the other hand you have FF16, whose Executive Producer is widely regarded as one of the absolute most brilliant team leaders in the last two decades and whose main project (FF14) is both an amazing game and is one of the biggest commercial successes of all time in gaming barring consumer-abusive stuff like Candy Crush. --- If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care. I've long since said that outside the 2.5d games Square-Enix really has lost their way with their other titles. 16 seems to have the most promise of the recent Final Fantasy titles with who is behind it, but I'm also skeptical because its Square-Enix. I have a feeling its a similar issue that Blizzard has. A really great team, but one asshole (Bobby Kotick) or investors preventing them from being as good as it could be. I think Diablo 4 has a lot to live up to. They know that they had a lot of negative feedback from Diablo Immortal. Whether they take that feedback and actually listen to it is another story, but I know that Mike Morhaime specifically mentioned that whenever Dreamhaven does release its first game, it won't be taking money from investors, that they want full control behind their projects, which screams to me that there were a lot of backdoor politics preventing them from achieving everything they wanted to achieve with World of Warcraft and their other titles.
