Last time I checked on PC Partpicker in Australia, to play the latest games at higher settings was gonna be about the $1500 range which is an outrage. It seems the GPUs is what drives the price up. For the same first time I'm actually considering just buying a Xbox Series S to go along with my Switch and Ps5 --- "A human destiny, but nothing human inside..... Getting a PC will always be more expensive than a console. And yes, the prices are still high. The payoff comes when you build a steam library that consoles can only dream about, and when the next 2 generations of consoles come out you just upgrade one or two parts. --- Snappin necks & Cashin checks ... Yeah computer prices are fucked here. Not as bad as they were a couple of years ago but still way above consoles. You can find a Series S for dirt cheap in comparison. I got mine for around $300 thanks to an Amex rebate and still got $100 of Xbox credit with it. If you're willing to go second hand you could probably get one for under $300. --- A Fallen Mascot ...
