But you are right about the women's matches, though his mentality also comes from an advertiser's standpoint. Back when he was making TV, there was no chance he'd have a female wrestler bloody. They make the comparisons because they think him critizicing certain wrestling is the same as Trump spreading hate and engaging in stochastic terrorism. They think he has some sort of influence that suppresses their favortie wreslting. When some crazy fan tried running into the ring trying to attack AEW wrestlers, they blamed Jim because the crazy fan mentioned him, amongst several other people. Cornette has always been against fans doing run ins and attacking wrestlers and never condoned any of that. He's had to fight against many himself back in the day. They still blame him for that and other things. Funny thing is, for all their grand standing against bigotry and hate and with their Trump comparisons, they still love people like Chris Jericho, who is/was a Trump supporter, had one of Trump's kids on his podcast which helped promote him, and his wife was at 1/6.
