I was really grossly stabbed in the back at 3-5am while I was asleep. It was intentionally done while I wasn't awake, and no direct reasons were given for it. All I woke up to was a fake apology after the fact by a single person, and then I quickly noticed there was some half-assed attempt to cover up the motives.

This all stems back to that incident I mentioned happen a few weeks ago. To sum it up, I'm now being overtly and publicly punished for standing up against a man who trans shamed me, among many other offensive (and frankly, criminal) behaviors towards others.

Someone with influence was protecting him before, which is how he easily avoided any actual punishment, and it seems everyonein power is protecting him now. These were people I interact with fairly frequently, who were never close to him, gathering together and deciding he was more important than his victims. Based on what little response I've been able to generate from them this morning, I can tell they're hoping I have a public reaction. They want me to give them the ammunition.

I know better than to give them what they want. Flailing at this point does nothing but make me look bad, but I also feel there isn't anything good that can come out of this situation for me at this point. I feel like my only real choice here is to just silently eject everyone involved, directly or indirectly, from my personal space, and completely cut this part of my life off. Is it doable? Yes. It's just easier said than done. I had actually started to open up some.

My body feels so tense right now that I'm not even shaking, and I don't even know how to describe it properly. It's like my very being is exuding this intensely negative aura. I knew this could end poorly, but I didn't expect to get thrown under the bus so thoroughly and in such a cowardly manner by people I thought I was close to.

I won't do anything rash, but I don't think I'll have it in me to forgive or to forget this.

Yeah I've been on death's case for a lot of things in recent games but I've learned that this proactive explanatory nature of his is NAI.

Now if I was going to disneyland, there would never be an explanation in advance

I mean we have played other games together before and I have only been scum in the previous one. Effective double voter isn't worth much in the first 12 hours of day 1 most of the time, but I appreciate the pink ball alliance even if I suggested not to in the sign up topic.

Peaf and Sbell both have my eye. So far they're the ones seeming to throw out the most chaos and obfuscate shit.

I can't say I feel the greatest from our little tryst but your willingness to take a step back and reevaluate certainly helps.

I'll agree that Marth speaking for me, while being spot on, is not my favorite thing. Scum have often in the past been able to sway my allegiance by doing the same thing. Not that I'm ready to vote for Marth, but his topic 1 last game definitely made me think he was town.

It might have been an innocent comment, but it was death's agreement with you that made me really reconsider things fully. I think he looks good from it. Scum death wouldn't have much of a reason to gently help me get off your back.

Well i guess the benefit is looking good. So maybe nai as a result. I'll still put him in my good pile for now.

I can't help but remember a game where you two night killed me night 1...

however you are right. the beauty of this is a world where you two are not likely scum together. So we are chipping away here

I think his rage suited him well last game and may be seeking to reproduce results. It's like fine as long as he isn't annoying with it

I'd say calling a vote that early easy is weird, but if that's his usual then there's nothing really odd there.

I recall that kind of thing being very on brand for Ulti, but I could be wrong.

Early thought from me is that I'm leaning towards agreeing with Peaf/SBell regarding Marth's contribution to their back and forth. I don't think it's that big a deal, but something to note.
