How do you make it?

Feel like I covered most categories for making bacon. IDK if anyone boils theirs but maybe.

I bake mine cause I love how that comes out and how easy it is. My lady typically doesn't like bacon cause most people make it too crispy. I love having a meaty texture rather than crisp, but i don't make it floppy either.

Would "making bacon" not be the slaughtering of the pig and butchering the meat?

I guess it could be intepreted as stove top, a smooth non stick surface and in oil or air fryer.
I get how those all can be the same.

Not really. Rather "making bacon" would be the curing of the meat. You are correct in your implication that the poll is incorrectly worded, as it's asking about cooking bacon not making it.

Doesn't bacon basically fry itself in a pan?

I fry my bacon in a frying pan. Skillet is another word for frying pan.

Costco bacon bits are really good, and a pretty decent price. A bag is 1-1/4 pounds, but all the fat has been cooked out of it so it's more like the equivalent of 4 or 5 pounds of raw bacon.

Use it on pizza, pasta (esp. mac & cheese or carbonara), salads, baked potatoes, chicken bacon ranch wraps, there's all kinds of uses for it.

you do know that bacon bits are just the scrap left over from commercial bacon slicing operations right

One of the grocery stores around here used to sell ends and pieces of bacon and I'd usually buy it because it was cheaper. Tasted the same as regular strips of bacon, and the smaller pieces work better for recipes since I'd need to cut it up anyway. But then they started charging more, so I stopped buying it.
