Immigration issues aside, the average American worker DOES mostly suck. Anyone ever worked in retail? People constantly calling off, working at half speed, showing up late, quitting mid-shift, etc.

Some might say "if you pay them better that will be fixed". With a small %, that may be true, but after six years in retail I can confidently tell you that most people are just lazy ass motherfuckers

And republicans will continue to vote for him.

Georgia learned their lesson back in the Obama era when they passed a similar law: produce was literally left to rot in the fields when there weren't migrant workers to pick them.

Have you ever worked in a corporate environment? Directors and management never at work, always late on any budget arrangements, slow to respond, leaving mid-work day to the notice of no one, always off on vacations for weeks at a time the one time you finally need their input on something before having to go around them. Yet still making way more than anyone putting in any semblance of work beneath them.

What a shit take. Retail workers have to put up with so much bullshit for such meager pay its no wonder theyre dead inside.

I deal with tons of construction deals up here in NY. It's always some white dude that drives in his BMW or Benz, and gives you a market price estimate, so you're not even saving any money. Then when the work begins, it's 5 or 6 undocumented dudes that bust their fucking ass 10 hours daily till completion. No matter the weather.

Since I speak Spanish, I get friendly with some of these guys and ask them how much they get paid and its always BS like $35/day or $200/week, which is outright embarrassing and not any better than slave wages.

Unfortunately, most of them are poor, uneducated republicans that lack the skills needed for most manual labor like this.

I worked retail for 6 years. When I started, they were hiring at $8/hr (terrible). When I left, they were hiring at $17/hr. Guess what...the quality of work didn't change at all.

Probably because $17/hr still isn't a living wage.
