Many many years ago when I was in between jobs I was on a date with a girl that was super into me. The waiter asked if we wanted to split the check and I said yes, I could see her excitement sink and it was all downhill from there. Went from agreeing to hanging more after before that happened to saying she wanted to go early to the frat party that started in 3 hours. Ill probably just go help them set up were her exact words

-300$ with two days till payday

this was back when overdraft fees were crazy as fuck

less than zero, living in an abandoned building in Spanish Harlem for three months

Currently

I live about 2k below the poverty line and I can barely afford food and rent at this point because greedy corporations are free to jack their prices up as much as they want while wages stagnate

I got laid off from some crappy tech start up in 2015, and I did not find another job until 2017. When I started that job I had no money in my bank account, a maxed out credit card, and I owed taxes to both the federal government and Arizona. It was a rough time for me, I was super depressed and has some suicidal plans, but luckily the day before my plans, I got two calls for job interviews, with one of them being the job I still have today

I had to borrow money from my grandmother so I could have gas to drive to work and for lunch the first month but I love my job and are pretty well off financially, now I just wish I had enough saved to get a house

I used to live in a closet.

Lived in a busted travel trailer, one of the shorter ones. Mice would crawl into my pillow at night. It was half of a body pillow, it was torn.
Would collect aluminum cans, junk metal and cardboard with my dad. Lived off taco trucks and jack in the box, one meal a day. All while going to college.
Graduated recently and looking for a job now.
