Like help me understand something because I see all these Vegan posts about stopping animal killing for meat. ... So if humans come from apes that are in fact "animals" then humans are just animals too so why is it such a problem for humans to kill and eat animals as well?

Is your argument that of animals do it, then it should be fine for humans to do it also?

We obviously don't go by that logic for many of the things we as a society do.. For good reason.
So I find it weird to try and use that argument to justify eating meat. Eat meat if you want to, whatever. I just think this is a bad argument

My dad was put on a vegan diet for like a year by his doctor for health reasons... what don't you understand about that, TC? How does it figure into your equation and stereotyping?

I also hear a lot more bitching from people like you than I ever hear from vegans, though I suppose it could just be because I'm Texan. Why don't you mind your own business when it comes to other people's dietary decisions?

I just did a search on this board to see if something here might have set you off, only to find that the vegan topic was vegans sharing their recipes with each other. How provocative!

Maybe you should stop lurking the vegan boards if their views bother you and, again, keep your eyes on your own plate instead of being the same preachy kind of person that people always find so abrasive from the vegan or vegetarian communities.

A majority of them are against farm treatment where the farmers force the animals into tight warehouses with no outdoors and forced to produce eggs and milk until they become old and turn into lunch.

Ask the vegans and I'm sure they'll be happy to talk to you about it, provided you're genuinely interested.

I'm a firm believer in omnivorism.

Just eating nothing but meat or plants isn't the best way of getting what nutrition we humans need to fuel our bodies. A little salt is needed as well.

And we also mass-produce plants as part of our food supply.

The argument in favour of eating meat is "I want to".
