I use Adobe Stock for work, and whereas they've always had a huge variety of photos and artwork to download and use, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that a great deal of my search results are labelled as "AI Generative." Some of my search terms have returned only AI art.

Some of it is great, some of it is wacky, but damn this shit really is the future

I mean, you're maybe three to five years away from stock photos as a concept being completely replaced by a stock photo application where you put in a prompt of what you want and it just generates exactly what you need.

I can see it. Some of these are very clearly AI generated but others look like real photos. I used one earlier this week for an agency social media post and nothing about it stood out as being a fake photo

I'm a little excited an a little nervous to see what all AI can do.
I think it will be great for the logistics community - this is the most effective shipping route, this is the most effective maintenance schedule, this is the most effective flight pattern.

Shit, this thing could likely replace a ton of management positions

Yeah as scary as it is for some of us in a career context (I'm a graphic designer ffs) there are some applications of AI that will be amazing. Like, I can see it finally getting us those universal translators that Star Trek promised
