You'd think a massive hardware design flaw like that would, but nope. Its library was just too FUCKING good. Can't even think of any other system that so many people had to buy multiple times because it would randomly die constantly lol.

To be fair, Microsoft was very efficient with their repair process and there was no limit on the number of times they would repair the issue. So they did the proper amount of damage control for the RROD. I had to send mine in like three times, and on the second and third time, they sent us a free game along with it. It was like, Forza or some shit that I never played, but the thought was nice.

I Had more PS2 due to DRE than I did 360s.

My launch edition 360 just stopped reading disc. Worked fine otherwise. Needed to get a second.

I have owned something like 4 ps2 though due to DRE.

My PS2 was a fucking tank. I got the OG fat one at launch and it still works perfectly fine to this day.

Actually, I don't think I've ever had any issues with a console other than my Elite 360 RROD'ing after like 5 years of service.

This.
It RRoD'd, send it in. When that one RRoD's, send it in too. Repeat as needed, or you finally by a S.

All you're really out is a week or two.
