I prefer shells but long noodles are great for a nostalgic appeal to me. But they could definitely go away, since I normally end up cutting them up anyways.

Wagon wheels are the best, meat and Alfredo sauces get in their spokes, perfect with a fork too, I aint trying to get carpel tunnel with all the twisting, and then theres slurping of the no.8 covered in marinara, thats just a good way to get that acidic shit in your eyes, no thanks

Even the cooking times are different. Fresh pasta cooks in under 3 minutes. Dry pasta requires at least 8 minutes.

For mac and cheese, cavatappi and radiatore are easily the best shape. I prefer cavatappi with an alfredo sauce based mac and cheese, and radiatore with cheddar sauce base.

Here's a tip for mac and cheese, fry some panko bread crumbs with a little bit of oil for a minute on the stove top, sprinkle that on basically everything, like mac and cheese, for a nice light crunch.

It's hard to stab the ground beef unless it's in big chunks. If the noodles were in a better form you could get it all on the fork easily
