Assboobsgames has me blocked and I have never interacted with them in any capacity. Weird. But after finding out who it is I feel like I lucked out.

Make every board require 10 karma to post. Have user registration recommend to use the help section for game questions as a beginner and then to lurk the boards to get a sense of the community is like until then. It should be 60 for social boards.

Your thousands of alts aren't new users. Actual new users can go through the process of waiting 10 days getting familiar with the community before posting. Many forums have stuff like that.

Why would new users be "disturbing" anyone? They're new. No, this method is to clam down on toxic and frequently banned trolls, that this site would be a much better place without, like you. You don't seem to realize that the whole point of bannings is to remove unwanted posters permanently. This method would slightly inconvenience normal new users but once the time is done they'll be able to post regularly because they're normal users who don't get into trouble whereas it'll actually only be a problem for trolls who go through accounts like candy who are far more common than new users.

Being banned and making a new account has been gamefaqs culture for the past 20 years. If you're still mad about it and haven't accepted it, I don't know what to tell you.

Why the fuck would an actual new user make an account here, visit 10 days without being able to post, and actually return after that time? Do you think it's some great honor to be able to post here? When a new user sees they can't post until they visit for 10 days, they'd just leave and never come back.

Seems like the easiest thing to do here is for you to curate your experience and ignore people you don't like. I don't know why you want to control everyone elses experience instead of just making yours better for yourself. SBAllen, long ago, bestowed upon us all these great features. Use them and quit whining.

Furthermore, if the banned users actually never came back, this site would have died a long time ago. It's not exactly a thriving community.

This is one of the most pathetic posts I've ever seen. You might as well say "being toxic is a part of gamefaqs culture" so there shouldn't be moderators at all. The whole point of these suggestions is to curb down on toxicity, which frequently banned trolls like you are one of the biggest contributors of. And you're the one upset about it, which is a good thing, since anything that hinders problem users like you is a good thing.

Id absolutely be thrilled if we bumped up the Karma requirement even higher.

It's about making the site a better place for everyone who isn't a part of the "get banned thousands of times" club which the majority of users aren't. Ignoring/Blocking literally doesn't work when these new vermin eggs keep popping up every other day and fill up the ignore/block list.

And upping the karma limit, which has been done a few times and should be done even more wouldn't need us to do anything at all while only really hurting the alt eggs of banned trolls who deserve to get hurt and shouldn't be on the site anymore in the first place. It's a win-win. No, I'm not TC, but it is typical how you're trying to call alt on someone else while you're defending your alt spamming.

I would say the argument against raising the karma limit is that the *worst* offenders just grow their alts for when they might need them, so no "reasonable" karma limit will stop them, but people who get smacked once have to wait a long time. But on the other hand I don't really feel sorry for that group of people also, so whatever.

If GameFAQs has to rely on perpetually-banned users to stay afloat, then it's better off being taken out back.

I don't think the limit should be fifty if you can otherwise troll the gaming boards. We're not special.
