Twin Snakes plays better and cleans up some voice acting stuff, but the cutscenes are absolutely fucking ridiculous in that version. You have to experience the OG to appreciate the tone. Then play the rest. MGS2, MGS3, MGS4. Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are 100% skippable, story wise, and it's an unfinished game altogether.
