I have a package being delivered by FedEx. Suddenly, I got this text from someone claiming to be UPS:

This doesnt seem legit and Im afraid to open the link because I constantly get shipping-related spam texts. Its just really odd that this comes up when Im waiting for something.

My FedEx tracking page says everythings still fine, but now Im getting nervous. Unpaid duty fee? I dont even know what this is. I ordered from a reputable company with free shipping, and Ive used them before

Absolute scam. Block and move on. I get those all the time.

Whatever shows on fedex.com is governing.

Yeah, that's a scam. My dad fell for one of those. They stole $1000 from him. He was able to get the charge reversed, though.

Also, assuming you're American you almost never get hit with duties or tariffs. The only time I have ever got hit with a tariff was importing an expensive watch. I've imported a bunch of stuff over the years.

Scam. Besides it says ups, usps in the address, but your shipment is going through FedEx.

You can tell it's a scam because the link doesn't even match the company supposedly sending it.

And if you aren't sure what the URL is really supposed to be, do a search for it at a search engine.

UPS, for example, has a URL that is: www.ups.com

And does that match the link in your text? No.

Thus... scam.

Also, the sender is supposedly from "...uspsms". So the US Postal Service.

Another scam sign in that nothing matches.
