Have you ever went over a friends house to eat and the food just ain't no good? I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mushed and the chicken tastes like wood. So you try to play it off like you think you can by saying that you're full. And then your friend says "mama, he's just being polite.
He ain't finished, uh-uh, that's bull"

So your heart starts pumpin' and you think of a lie and you say that you already ate. And your friend says "man, there's plenty of food so you pile some more on your plate.

While the stinky food's steaming your mind starts to dreaming of the moment that it's time to leave. And then you look at your plate and your chicken's slowly rotting into something that looks like cheese.

So you say "that's it, I gotta leave this place. I don't care what these people think. I'm just sitting here making myself nauseous with this ugly food that stinks." So you bust out the door while it's still closed, still sick from the food you ate. And then you run to the store for quick relief from a bottle of Kaopectate.

And then you call your friend two weeks later to see how he has been. And he says, "I understand about the food Baby Bubba but we're still friends"

It is when I reject the food.

It sucks too, cause the food actually looks really good most the time and I gotta go out my way to find other food only half as good. But no one has sympathy for that of course. All they care about is the family Im yelling slurs at as I storm out. Fuckin typical SJWs.

I've got a story....

I went to my wife's grandparent's village (as she was visiting her parents and grandparents and while her parents were from the city, her grandparents were from a really rural village, the road was literally a dirt track).

Anyway, we've been there not even an hour, and they bring out this snake, right? Skin it, there and then and quickly cook it, and it's moving on the plate, it's so fresh. Her grandfather is looking me in the eye, as if he's just handed over the Jewel of Babylon, and smiling.

I look at my wife, she was brought up in America, she's going to be disgusted, right? So, I look at her, and she's got such a shit-eating grin and says to me in English "It's been ages since I've been able to eat this, it's so tasty you have to try it"... smiling all the time, and offers me the dish... after she's eating her portion.

I speak a splattering of conversational Mandarin, but it's useless in this village, so I rely on my wife to translate, so I panic, if my wife isn't disgusted and is literally handing me the plate, I'm really going to have to eat this... or cause a scene....

Anyway, I tried it, with trepidation and fear, my hands were literally shaking as I take a bite... and... it was actually pretty good, but the moving food was pretty difficult for me, as a Westerner to accept, even though the taste was rather pleasant, and by the end I've eaten a few pieces of the snake...

My wife smacks me on the back, smiles, and says "That's why I love you."

I've usually managed to choke it down cheerfully. Even if the spices or flavors are all off according to my tastes. It's just food.

The exceptions would be bugs and genitals. Thankfully I've never been tested that way.
