It opens with Spike getting up off the ground and saying "Man, that was a great nap!" and then everyone comes back and just does more shenanigans for 26 more episodes. Then it just ends.

Would you be okay with that or will it sully the ending of the series? >_>

Maybe this writers strike won't be such a big deal after all...

I'd rather have a first season of something set in the universe they created. Unless you're talking about the live action version, in which case I would cry and cry.

If you're shocked that they made 2 additional seasons, Adult Swim funded them in 2016, and just to ruin my day in looking up the dates I saw they're funding TWO MORE seasons:

In 2016, two new seasons totaling 12 episodes were announced as a co-production between Production I.G, Toho, and Adult Swim. The second season, FLCL Progressive, premiered on June 3, 2018 on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block, while the third season, FLCL Alternative, premiered on September 8, 2018. In Japan, Alternative and Progressive had theatrical screenings as compilation films with Alternative opening on September 7, 2018 and Progressive opening on September 28, 2018. The first episode of FLCL Alternative premiered unannounced on April Fools' Day 2018 at 12 a.m. ET on Toonami in Japanese with English subtitles as part of Adult Swim's annual stunt.

Two additional seasons were ordered by Adult Swim in 2022, titled FLCL: Grunge and FLCL: Shoegaze, respectively. Both seasons will premiere in 2023.

If your confusion was more why I wouldn't want more, it's because FLCL is a perfect story that should have been left alone as a classic, instead of being milked into a low-tier garbage animation franchise that completely misses the point of what made the original special.

The original Cowboy Bebop was perfect, there's no reason other than cash grabs to try to create a sequel 20+ years later.

It was the former. I tend to agree with you, but I'm optimistically cautious that there could be another story to tell. I have little confidence it'll be handled well, but I have been surprised before.

Season 2 was eh. I kinda got bored and dropped it. They're making a Season 4 and 5 that are supposed to come out this year.

I found Faye to be annoying

One thing I'd love to see get a live action series would be Black Lagoon, with Revy played by either Emilia Clarke or Anne Hathaway

Dear God, I feel sorry for your poor soul. Cowboy Bebop really is a master piece of an anime and that live action show is really not good >_> Even if you do watch the anime, I feel like your mind is forever soiled by your initial exposure being that live action show.

Oh no. Oh no no no.

Faye's character is incredibly tragic in the original anime and someone needs to face jail time for what they did to her in the remake.
