I won't list them all individually cuz I'm on mobile but here's the top 10:
10. Half Life 2
9. Dark Souls
8. Portal 2
7. Metal Gear Solid
6. Mass Effect 2
5. The Witcher 3
4. Bloodborne
3. Tetris
2. The Last of Us

And

1. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

decent top 10. A few I'd not put in the top but that's coo.

I'm reminded that I should get back into Return of the Obra Dinn (dropped it for some reason, so I'll start at the beginning) and try out The Outer Wilds.

Try as I might, I genuinely can't take a list like this seriously when they rank Fallout 3 higher than New Vegas.

Not a horrible list honestly. There's a few on there that I feel like never gets listed like Dragon Age: Origins (AMAZING game.)

The Last of Us isn't the second best game ever . Too cinematic, linear . It's a great game just not 2nd best

This is a ridiculous argument

It's difficult for me to rate a game outside of its time frame. For example, Super Mario Bros almost single-handedly saved home console gaming from the implosion of the market.

Not a bad list though...Super Metroid a few notches above Prime. Shadow of the Colossus is here (my #1)...

Think most of us would agree on the titles, but vary greatly on the number in front of it.

No Capcom games. What a fail list.

6 years is enough time to get away from initial hype/honeymoon period, reevaluate and compare to past favorites.

half life 2 had it's reputation when i finally got around to playing it, which was about 6 years after it came out.

idk if Okami counts as a Capcom game, but if it does, then it has that, too.

Us gamefaqs users know that #1 and #2 are supposed to be Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy 7 (order is negotiable).

ngl, I'm surprised MGS2 isn't on the list.

at least some of my favorites are: Bloodborne, Disco Elysium, TLoU2, & RDR2.

weapon degradation and poor caves, mazes whatever you want to call them turned me off. Definitely not to 1 all time. Thats Alex Smith.

But really I love Fromsoft and agree Bloodborne is like the best game ever, but FF VII should be up there. Tetris I understand, but also some Resident Evil remake should be up there. 1 or 2 it doesnt matter.

Ocarina of Time isn't my favorite game of all time. It isn't my favorite Zelda. But it feels just fundamentally wrong for it not to be number 1, much less not in the top 10.

That makes no sense.. I only like the NES Zelda games. Tried that Wii one and the Switch one and just hate them. If you think theyre not the best why the hell would you want them on top? My top 5 of all time are FF VII, MvC2, RE3, Bloodborne, and I guess insert current Pokemon game.

Not a great argument, but it reminds me of when Game Informer put Uncharted 2 on their 100 best list, which they did the month UC2 came out.

Because even though I might enjoy some other Zelda games a bit more, OoT isn't just genre defining, it's video game defining. It's incredibly polished, easily accessible and defined what video games could be.

Every top games list always has a Zelda game at number 1.

If only people in the gaming industry would design their games to more resemble that top 10.

Theres just no fucking way BOTW is the best game in the world. Like, the game is not even the best Zelda. Its just more open world bullshit.

Not even silent hill 2 on the top ten. It should be 1 or 2. No resident evil. No banjo Kazooie

Tbf industry people and gaming journalists voted on this list and they, for the most part, are N64 kiddos still. Or at least the cusp.
