I can't think of a single game I'm hyped for and I have absolutely no interest in the new consoles, or upgrading my PC. I also completely lost interest in shit like smartphones and other gizmos.

A lot of the time it feels like I'm forcing myself to enjoy things

Not even idols get me as excited as they used to

Armored Core 6 is close and I know I'm supposed to be excited for it but part of me is also just very blah about it

A general loss of interest in everything has been my problem for a while. Other than Ys X, I have no excitement for anything gaming-related.

No. I bought Diablo 3 when it came out and I think I have less than two hours logged in it. Games just aren't fun and exciting.

i don't really get excited about games too much anymore, but i think that's part of being older and part learning from past incidents to not let mysefl get caught up in hype. i definitely still enjoy them though.

At this point, no. I've come to the realization that none of my former interests or "skills" can result in me making money, so it doesn't make sense to me to waste my time distracting myself from how bad things are, with them.

I've become increasingly embarrassed and self-conscious about having geeky interests and hobbies, especially as I've gotten older. All I want is just to be a normal human who's seen as normal.

Nah, I still love video games. That sounds like burnout. Take a gaming break and see how you feel about them later

it comes and goes. I think its healthy for the brain to complete a game now and then.

But I sometimes need to genre hop because many games are really the same ol recycled bowl of poop.

Not at all. I'm currently looking forward to the CK3 and Victoria 3 expansions.

Yep.

Over the past few years in the UK i've found that I've lost interest in pretty much everything.

It's just a despressing spirial of misery and things getting worse while angry sexist/racists scream at me everyday about how everything is great except foreigners and gays and transgenders even as their lives fall apart.

It's legit becoming hard not to have a shell and just be cynical 24/7 but yeah, it's harder and harder to just enjoy things.

That said I did really enjoy RE4make. That penetrated my state of non-excitement.

I'm really excited for Street Fighter 6. Other than that, Melee fills my gaming needs and every once in a while I'll try some other game out

I finished like 60 games last year. Most of them indies tho. That's where the real games are at these days

Yall just dont like games. Thats fine. I have stacks of ps4 games, tons digital and try to play whenever i can. Im also playing lots of 3ds games as well now thats its dead.

Decline in interest in things you used to enjoy is a possible sign of it, if it's not simply a case of losing interest in something but finding other things enjoyable. Not being able to enjoy anything is common for people with depression.

I'd like to be excited about any new games.
I get by with the games I already know I like. If I don't play one for long enough it's like cooldown ends and it gets another burst of novelty. This happened for DMC4 in February.

Maybe the issue is after you play enough games you get a solid idea of what sort of game you really want. Then it becomes far easier to look around everywhere and see that it doesn't exist.

Maybe. I definitely play less games than I did when I was younger. I don't think I've gotten any new games on release and I mostly stick to PC gaming with a side of online smash. I've only purchased Octopath Traveler 2 this year and the only games I've played this year are pathfinder wotr, smash ultimate, Octopath Traveler 2 and Expeditions: Rome.
