I am trying to figure out a good way on my Android phone to take high resolution screen captures of videos I'm watching. Usually when I use the screen shot feature the pictures look like they are only 480p resolution, even though the vids are 720p or 1080p. Is there any app you may know of that can capture the video shots with it's original clarity?

Well maybe with a certain app. But I'm using the screenshot feature built into phone. Even if I save a capture still from the roll of it's length of footage, the screenshot doesn't seem to be HD. It's like degraded each time so if anyone knows of a good app just reply here

Well if not directly screenshotting as you watch the movie, what about an app which can run the video through it and you save individual stills?

Im confused, are you trying to take screenshots at a higher resolution than what the screen is displaying?

My phone screen can go to 1080p. I've tried saving screenshots from both 720p vids and 1080p video. But when I look at the photos there's always a lower quality look to them. You can't zoom in much because the image degrades fast as you try to make out the clearest details
