Its irks me that during fights and stuff there will be text pop up clearly explaining something important happening and I have no idea what it is. Feels like I'm missing out on some fun stuff.

Yeah, no doubt lol. I'm just past Joesph fighting some dude with fire blood and feel very lost.

Pretty sure those are just the onomatopeias. 99% of the time it's just "menacing". >_>

I know on Netflix they used to sometimes parentheses the text that was shown on screen. I do feel like it depended on which season and what was being shown, more often than not whenever theres text its just an exclamation of an emotion or the name of a stand/power. But its been a while since Ive seen the first arc

Are you talking about the that pops up? It's just the sound for a menacing presence in Japanese. It's read do do do (said like the word dough). There you go.

That's just the name of the episode lol. Basically any text that isn't inside a white box is mostly unimportant. However, I do recall there are some moments in the dub where white box dialogue wasn't translated. You can probably just post those here and ask.

Well I made it the rest of the way thru what I guess was Battle Tendancy? Started Stardust Crusaders, which is what I've been waiting for. Its much better so far but I'm only like 2 episodes in

Diamond is Unbreakable was much better. Stardust Crusaders is just the start of the stands.

Most Netflix stuff is weird. If you watch it subbed it will translate that text. If you watch it dubbed, it does not. They create some dumb af all or nothing situation. Other streaming services do not do that.
