Yeah, do you have to catch the in the act? It's not enough to go arrest him, but it's enough to investigate.

Going to the cops seems a bit over the top. Unless they contact the alleged victim I'm not sure they could even open a case on this.

They have been harassing me since they moved in. They've been calling the cops on me for noise complaints even when I'm asleep. The first time was 2 in the morning. I didn't even have youtube on(I usually listen to Angry Video Game nerd while I sleep) and he told me he got a complaint. He said that someone was making noise in my bedroom(I sleep in my living room) and told me to tell them to come out. When he saw that my bedroom was not only void of a person, it was littered with boxes. Its practically a storage unit. He still claimed he was going to have to make a statement if he came again.

Then later, I'm outside on the phone with my aunt trying to calm down and he comes back and says that my neighbors claimed I was yelling outside "Fuck the police!" I have anxiety issues. I was in shock and didn't even talk very loud. The maintenance guy claims they might be on crack and are hearing things. Even after they found out it wasn't me making the noise, they continue claiming I make noise and call the cops.

They beat on my wall and stomp on the floor(claiming the one below them is making noise too) and then constantly tell my landlady that I'm making noise even though my landlady refuses to believe her. I've been here 4 years more than they have and she says I haven't had any complaints and have been a quiet person but now I'm being forced to change my whole lifestyle because I'm afraid they'll call the police again(even though I haven't been making a lot of noise in the first place)

I can barely watch Superman the Animated Series without an action scene coming up and I freak out and lower the volume because I'm afraid.

They're always slamming doors and beating on walls and floors and yelling at each other and other people so I wanted to call the cops on them for once. It just turned out that they were getting TOO vivid in their argument. If anyone were outside with me, they'd have heard it. It was so loud and clear.

pedo incest aside, going to the cops for noise is totally fair game. ive done it with my last shit-ass neighbors. just call non-emergency dispatch when it's going on.

TC's in a shitty situation and i feel for him. if the landperson won't do anything then the cops are next. i was in the exact same boat.

Not really the same level but this ladybwho lives in the rv park next to me lost her mind cause my gf was parking her car in a public spot next to her spot and somehow that was a problem so she threatened to slash the tires of every car parked there and in my apartment parking lot including my landlords tires. I only heard about it after the fact.

So three days after that my neighbour tells me some lady is kicking my car and I look off my balcony and sure enough this psycho is kicking my car which is literally 4 spots away from where hers is parked.

So I go down and long story short she ended up trying to stab me and two random passersby with a pitchfork, tried to stab me 3 or 4 more times, then hurled the pitchfork like a spear at me for recording her doing that then rushed me, grabbed my phone, went on a rant storming around filming the fence people park by and then threw my phone put into the road when a kind lady walking by tried to get it back for me as I followed her saying give my phone back.

Then she ran inside and started bucking all if her dishes and cans of beer and glass bottles and everything else in her 5th wheel at me, others, and cars.

Long story short shes facing 4 counts of assault, 3 of attempt to cause grievous bodily harm and 4 counts of vandalism for the damage to my car and 3 other vehicles.

She also sucker punched me in the throat and smashed a full beer in my face. Literally all of it is on video but some of mine was cut off due to me trying to stop her from murdering the lady who was trying to get my phone back from her.

In Oklahoma some guy posted a youtube video of an off-duty cop pulling him over. The off-duty cop was way out of line and the video went viral.

He ended up getting charged with illegal wiretapping and faced 5 years. Not sure what happened to him after that.

I want to know if he's mentally fine too. That's some wilder shit than I'm dealing with.

Also, for some reason, I feel less scared with this information in my hand. I feel a little courage. Is that a little strange? I don't think I could ever use it and while I plan to go to the police, I feel like whatever they try to do tonight will be nothing. Even if they bitch, I really don't feel afraid.

Hell, they were just arguing with eacho ther again and I heard her yelling "I'm going to call the law on you!"

Oh yeah I'm good thanks. She was also quite drunk. Had a bruise on my face and neck for a while but it was pretty easy to not get stabbed and no one else did either so no serious harm done during it all except my girlfriend got a piece of glass stuck in her foot somehow.

The lady genuinely tried to murder the kind woman who came to try and get my phone back but she wasn't hurt just came within inches before her son and I took the pitchfork away.

Worst injury was to the son who got scratched pretty bad by the pitchfork.

I'm actually good. Thankfully my gf wasn't attacked or involved but she's kinda dealing with it worse just by seeing it and having her car get a smashed window and a buncha dents and scratches.

Also i understand tbose feelings. I don't think the police do enough or even anything too many times.

Somehow this time they really came through and did their job well.

Oddly enough I used to know the one cop in hs. He wouldn't talk to me about the incident or anything and made me talk to his partner but it was funny to run into him that way.

That recording is going to be important evidence and you've made yourself a key witness.

Oh yeah, you should absolutely report them for the noise disturbance. My earlier skepticism was specifically about whether or not the police would actually have enough evidence to nab the guy for the pedo stuff. But I guess it's true that it would get the ball rolling at least.

I doubt it but I think sitting on the information is immoral. My point isn't to get him nabbed as much as I feel like if he's not already on a list, he deserves to be and if I can at least step forward, its better than sitting on my hands. I have a few friends who have been sexually abused and I feel like not doing anything about it would pretty much be shitting on what they went through.

Also, besides that, my daughter comes to stay during the summer and she's 8 years old and this is some terrifying information that I've uncovered.

I really wish I knew what he said but the dude is super quiet when he talks and she's super loud. Her scream voice and normal speaking voice can hardly be called different. All I know is that she continued after and say "AND YOU BRAG ABOUT IT. YOU ARE BRAGGING ABOUT IT" which just makes it worse. Someone earlier said she could be lying but I doubt she's a good enough actor to disregard what he was saying to topple another lie on top of that lie.

Getting involved in others peoples business when at least one of them is obviously not right in the head...

I did not realize they had previously called the police complaining about you. At that point you have every right to get the police involved. My only worry for you was making accusations without any real knowledge besides overhearing something that may or may not even be true.

I'm glad it sounds like the landlady at least is on your side and I hope the situation gets better for you. I just don't want you getting involved in something that could blow up and cause you more problems in the future.

I'm just going to tell them the truth. That I was outside and I heard them making a lot of noise so I wanted to get proof that it was noise and I just ended up getting her accusing him on the recording. Its not even that far into the recording. It just so happens that she was telling him this at least 30 seconds into it. I was actually too shocked and forgot that I kept recording and I was just wide eyed sitting there.

I was thinking of that possibility. In this case, its not a matter of evidence that I am worried about but the trouble I could get into for having done it and trying to use it. For the most part, I just want this to not just be "I heard them" and then there's a possibility of me lying or there's no real weight behind it. This is clearly her voice, they can hear it, know who said it, what was being said(although that wasn't this point)

if it puts a pedo in danger of getting caught, I think that's just the tasty cream icing on the damn cake.

Update: I talked to the cops about it but they didn't seem to care much about the pedo stuff, just the harassment and the loud noises so they're going to talk to my land lady and hope it helps put the boot on them.

Yeah I always laugh when people unironically claim the FBI will be at the door of loser lolicons when police caring about actual statutory rape is often challenging enough. It's so out of touch.

It really sucks that's the kind of world we live in but I was at least hoping that they'd look into it or even show interest. oh well. I at least feel better. I just hope that dude isn't doing shit. I still don't plan to have my daughter over, at least not unless they get kicked out.

You did say that you also heard the wife threaten to report him. So hopefully she actually does it and gets the granddaughter to come forward too. That's what really needs to happen.

All that aside though, it does sound like you'll get some resolution to the noise complaint. So not all bad. Hopefully this couple moves somewhere else, because it sounds horrible

Nah, i didn't say she was going to report him, not on that. She was yelling she was going to call the law because they were arguing. She always says that to him or to whoever. She's always yelling she's going to call the law. That's her 'go-to'. Its stupid and a huge annoyance. The police said that they have other complaints about her and this will help move things forward. They actually live on assistance so that might end up getting in the way of their assistance and they'll be forced to leave anyway.

I thought the pedo part was bad but incest is just UGGHH
