When he first tried to pass a lot of his policies, the Supreme Court ruled it was unconstitutional so he packed the courts. His whole approach towards joblessness were public works programs. He didn't send people checks, he invented jobs that needed to be done and then gave people those jobs. And then of course there's the whole him hiding his sickness using camera tricks and things like that out of fear that if the public knew he was partially paralyzed they might not re-elect him. That's not to say he didn't do a lot of good. Just that I think time has smoothed over some of the wrinkles on what his presidency was actually like. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
