company VPN has been down all morning. getting paid to not do shit.

Me too. When they had us switch to a new computer system last December, mine didn't work for two weeks.

I spent the whole time binging Barry, playing Pokmon, and working out.

Yeah it was like Christmas break from school as an adult. Much needed mental health break, my job is awfully annoying

Though i wasnt really working from home, but first two months of Covid cause of lockdowns I was being paid to sit at home. Be truthful I loved it.

I'm on year three of working exclusively at home after being sent home one day in March 2020.

It's pretty great overall, but all of the sitting at home by myself is speeding up my midlife existential crisis. What exactly is the purpose of all this? :)

I've been working from home since 2009 and unfortunately about the only thing that gets me out of work is internet or power outages.

I dont mind going to work But my job cant technically be done from home Well, done well and efficiently That said, when we did have to work from home, I just did nothing most of the day I just asked a co-worker a few questions to see how she would handle situations. She answered then well, and that was that

It be the best kind o' day, when ye be gettin' paid to not do shit! Aye, it be like a day at port, with nothin' to do but drink grog and tell tall tales with yer mates!

Boggles my mind that there are people who legit complain about working from home.

But I need the social interaction

F***in go out and see friends or family or run errands or something. Be grateful you dont have to sit in traffic wasting precious time, or throw money down the toilet for gas and car maintenance.

I wouldnt complain about it if it wasnt for too long. But I also dont enjoy it. Im fine with working at the office That said, I also dont have much traffic to really worry about Also, its not too far, so gas isnt a major issue. And whether I was going to drive to work or not, Id still have some car maintenance That said, my best social interactions are at work where I currently am
