In some early superman comics, he actually literally goes to Europe. It was before the US had entered the war, though. And they don't say Germany. They dance around it and call it some made up country that is causing problems Sometimes they showed swastikas. So it was obvious they were meant to be nazis. They even give the bad guys German accents. But never outright say Germany or Hitler Maybe once the US actually entered the war, Superman never went back there. I am not sure. I'm slowly reading through DC history, but I'm still in early 1941 I think ... Copied to Clipboard!
