Seems like a weird thing to be worried about once you get past your first relationship or two, tbqh. As long as she doesn't have an STD and you're both faithful, I don't see why anyone cares how many people their partner boned before they met. Worrying about that just reflects poorly on one's own self-esteem.

One of the ways you can find out if she's loyal is through her notch count. Your more likely to have undiagnosed STDs the higher your notch count is as well.

You don't necessarily have to ask her though. You can get a good idea just by talking to her, seeing how she dresses, her lifestyle, etc.

He answered the question.

It doesn't matter or ever need to be asked. If it comes up somehow its whatever but its a fucking weird thing to bring up. Like its come up in multiple relationships but never cause I asked it just organically came up or she asked.
