well yes for that situation. you guys see it as not scum scum. you both said it.

But saying they dont make sense as scum together doesnt mean were assuming red is the scum in a town/scum scenario

mzero and wallz do not think that lopen makes sense as scum if red flips scum (150 posts into the game)

How many games has wallz played here? I feel like we've had enough "red analysis sessions" that most players could get a vibe on why that is extremely unlikely.

I think your best scum route is red being third party because red hates being third party. He could yolo that.

that being said I agree with mzero theres no need to rush day, and I agree with ctes on finding it a little odd Lopen took off with the whole rush day to unlock a power thing. If red is telling the truth and if he will gain a power then Lopen isnt really even considering the possibility red will unlock said power simply by surviving to d2.

Oh I did already, but it basically came down to Edumey saying that Red could be scumHammerer that gains a power from hammering as well.

That said I am now going back on those thoughts because there is always going to be a chance that we want to test Red by not having him hammer at all. And scum wouldnt allow for such an obvious exposing flaw in their fake claim. So I am almost 99 % sure Red is town now

Even before that though I only saw it as a counterpoint and not as proof of Red being scum or anywhere close.

(and I said counterpoints yes, but I started disliking his other one even sooner since that was about host meta. I just got caught up in his logic at first before i remembered that went south in the past as well)

What Lea said has crossed my mind as well, but I also dont know if Red would even claim this as town if he wanted to get the power off at all.

I'll explain why I'm voting mzero. I don't feel I'm coming off as townish right now and him saying I was townish struck me as strange. I was also keeping an eye out for anyone who said anything about conspiracy lopen as I feel scum tend to lean into that.

UnderUrMattress also said that I was townish so I have my eye on him for the same reason but yeah.

I will say I think at least someone calling me scummy right now is probably scum reading the room too. While I do not think I am being especially townish right now saying I am some sorta mustache twirler for suggesting we try to speed run day 1 is silly

I still think it's a good idea. Wallz is PROBABLY right but no reason we can't have enough info in 24 hours.

Only way red is scum hammerer is if his power is super powerful and it doesn't matter if he gets Murdered the following day or not I guess?

It's not too important if red lied about his role to some extend, the takeaway is that he probably gains something. Now obviously a scum role could get that as well yes, but I don't think red is a player that wants to gather that much attention to himself as scum lying.

Also on a non-powerup level we really should have a scum picked way before end of day because it's way too easy to create a situation where it becomes implausible for red to hammer if we wait till end of day and scramble around like headless chickens.

I think I'm cool with Dumey, Mzero, Mattress lynches right now without reading a lot into who is suspecting me. Dumey not for suspecting me as much as him trying to pair me and red before suspecting me. Seems like pointless thought experiment. Also for posting a lot of words about red without saying as much as wallz who posted way less words. Sbell is also a decent pick because he's exactly the type of scum profile I'd expect to claim miller early and the flavor feels really on the nose.

I felt like a fair share of people had said Death looks back. I didn't think much about it because I feel like catchup posts are usually terrible to catch anyway and Death tends to write little in many words regardless of alignment. But now I just noticed no one actually voted him.

Peaf even calls this 0 vote stuff a train, which is probably why I was surprised there are no votes. It looks as if either people don't want to get on Death for whatever reason or people just have no reads and want to echo something simple. So there's probably scum in that bunch of people.

Also, it would be nice for Corrik and ulti to check in. But I remember Ulti saying something like he wasnt going to try on day 1 next game (which is now this game) because its dumb that everyone ignores inactives and he doesnt like how day 1 generally plays out

Honestly "sbell early claiming Miller as mafia is absolutely something I could see him doing" was the more important element than the flavor, but sbell prodded and so I did explain

I also kinda don't think a miller exists in a setup where a town member can die for not hammering too but that's too deep into setup meta this early into the game I think

Unlike Ulti I don't get my jollies off by digging up random games and trying to shoehorn behavior into them and strongarming a point with it so no I can't honestly cite a game this happened.

theres a good chance there is scum in the group simply from a probability standpoint but I dont think its that odd (other than yeah, peaf calling it a train wasnt really accurate, but I interpreted it that he seemingly meant a suspicion train). Even if theres scum in the bunch clearly at least some people shared reds sentiment genuinely. Speaking for myself, I agreed it felt a bit off (deaths post) but didnt think it was questionable enough to throw a vote on death for it, especially after hearing from death.

Side note Ulti is either town or scum who realizes I think him randomly citing past scum game to call me scum is a town tell now since I tipped my hand last game about knowing that's a town tell of his (or rather lack thereof is a scumtell)

I feel like Ulti isn't self aware enough to fake that so probably just town.
