Theres something incredibly messed up about watching 2 dudes beat the shit out of each other for sport.

MMA/UFC stuff is all so messed up. Same with boxing. Do these guys like having CTE as much as football players do or what?

Yeah it is kinda gross. Their body, their choice, I guess.

I think they are entertaining. I prefer watching combat sports and extreme sports over traditional sports.

I enjoyed it until the concussion/ CTE data started to come out in the late 2000s. I was too young and uninformed to realize these people were ruining their future. I wont watch MMA or football at this point.

Yeah its part of our DNA and millions of years of evolution to fight in physical combat and emerge victorious bloodied and battered.

Some of the unnatural things we do are working in cities and buying bread from the supermarket. Its very disturbing.. and our animal bodies have not had time to evolve to this lifestyle.

Its way easier for AI and robots who will be taken on and offline in a moments notice and reconfigured.

They are the next stepping stone of evolution and humanitys time on Earth is dwindling.

Nobody wants to keep these guys accountable by revoking their licenses or outright banning them for beating up people outside of the ring. There's a real problem with the scene when most of the so-called "Faces of the sport" are absolute fucking scum.

I've noticed a couple of different reasons for this.
1: When you train a level of aggression into people and create a reward response in their brain for committing violence then it's very possible it can easily become their go to solution for most problems.
2: People already prone to aggression and violence are the people most likely to be attracted to it.
Both of these groups though tend to be more the MMA bros that I've been in contact with. I've not noticed as much with other groups of martial artists.

There are 721 active fighters on the UFC roster as of December 2022. Over the 20+ years of UFCs history, theres been thousands.

FIFTEEN UFC fighters in the 20+ year history have been arrested for assault.

its because they were d****. They were such asses that their behavior started causing issues and the royalty developed codes of honor for them.

turns out, violent activities attract terrible people.

martial arts saw this coming too, so they developed all of that bushido stuff that emphasized personal growth, honor, etc etc.

mma was ok at first. But ever since Dana-wifebeater-White took over UFC he has promoted a terrible environment and he has idolized monsters like Connor mcgreggor

Fighting is fun and MMA or Krav Maga classes are a great way to get that buzz while maintaining relative safety and ensuring that there are no victims, as everybody is there with full consent.
