She's definitely up there. I'll always give a Blue Mage a vote and a spot on my team.

I'd probably want to put Zell as my third party member because his Limit Break fucking hurts things, but Rinoa or Selphie are probably more useful overall for the party support they can provide (especially once Rinoa gets her second Limit Break).

I think it's fair to assume that I like Zell more than most people, both in combat and as a character (I also liked his character design). Him running a full lap around the world during his final Limit animation never failed to make me grin. I never cared much for Rinoa's 2nd Limit because I hate losing direct control over characters; her final limit with Angelo was super-rare in my experience, but it was just the right amount of over-the-top goofiness. Selphie had slots for her limit, right? I don't think I ever got the hang of those in 8.
