So long as people get off their ass and vote, absolutely. Trump's problem is that he can't make inroads with anyone other than diehard Republicans. Anyone unwilling to vote for him before isn't going to change their mind.

So yeah, as shitty as Biden is, if people show up, he'll win. Trump being who he is almost guarantees that people will show up.

This is the Catch-22 with Trump though.

As much as he motivates Republican voters, he also motivates Democrats because of what a loud, obnoxious asshole he is. The midterms only cemented this; Trump-backed candidates motivated high voter turnout. Desantis isn't quite the same because he at least knows how to do his dirt quietly.

It's probably even worse now with Jan. 6th and the several ongoing investigations against him at the moment.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

Sure, but that's literally just 2020 over again. No one showed up to vote for Biden, they showed up to tell Trump to fuck off. Trump had one advantage in 2016, politically clueless independents and centrists types didn't really understand what a fucking disaster a Trump presidency would look like. That and Hillary running the laziest and most entitled campaign in history. Neither of which are things that were in play in 2020 or will be in 2024.

Like I'm not saying that Trump can't win, it's just that he's going to have do something differently than he did in his last 2 campaigns and I don't think he's capable of it.

If anything costs the dems the election it will be the absolute hardcore campaign of intimidation the GOP will run in combination with other voter suppression measures, and if they do lose they'll simply deny the results. The difference being this time they've fucked with the election boards in swing states enough that they might pull it off this time. Especially if SCOTUS sides with the conservatives on Independent State Legislature.

I'm pretty confident Trump will lose to Biden again even at 700 years old.

What I'm not confident about is the states that are red but go Biden (Arizona, Georgia, etc...) not pulling massive fuckery to ignore democracy and try to get their electoral votes flipped.

What makes you think that Trump won't win the primary? He's polling so far ahead of everyone that even the most egregious polling error would still have him winning.
Who do you think beats him?

It's 2023 dude. There could be a possible conviction in the new York business fraud case before the primaries that will change everything.

And then you'll owe me $20

That's because DeSantis's camp has made a specific point of doing community outreach in those areas (and unlike the Florida Democrat party, they actually have piles of money to spend on such campaigns). Certain demographics in that area are also uniquely susceptible to right-wing fearmongering, which has ramped up considerably under DeSantis' perpetual culture wars. Has very little to do with Biden's candidacy versus Hillary's.

Air bases of a country based on foreign soil are treated as if they were still on their own soil, right?

So despite Jacobs being born on a military base in Spain because it's run by the US, the base itself is considered American soil, right?

It doesn't matter even then. The rule is that you have to be a "natural-born citizen". Republicans used to argue that that means you need to be born on American soil to run, so that they could do racist Obama birther conspiracies (of which Trump was the biggest proponent btw). But they changed their interpretation when Ted Cruz ran for president, because Ted Cruz was plainly just born in Canada. So now most people accept that you're "natural-born" as long as you were a citizen at birth (either because you were born on US soil or because one of your parents is a US citizen).
