Youd typically have to spend at least $1000 to get a PC that can do what they can though.

But not that bad considering all the other shit it can do and the upgradeability

I've been both a pc gamer and a console gamer for a long time. PC gaming can be frustrating asf sometimes especially when you have to troubleshoot certain games or if an application interferes with something.

Console gaming is much easier, mainstream and optimised for general gaming. The general public hasnt got time for fine tuning all that shit. That doesnt even include the amount of money you spend on your PC with its constant upgrades.

The upgrades aren't constant and being able to upgrade only what is needed when needed results in massive cost savings compared to consoles

Troubleshooting isn't done often, either, and is a benefit over consoles where you can't fix shit because everything is closed off to the user

Right now I have a 1080. Yes it still works but i need to upgrade pretty much now to keep up with games that are now in the next gen.

My computer is pretty old and has lasted a while. But I have spent quite a bit replacing Ram, graphics cards, motherboards ect over time. Some of that shit cost a lot back in the day. Hell I might just have to buy a whole new one at this point.

Troubleshooting is needed so much more compared to when playing a console game in my experience. The amount of problems a game could have on a PC is much more likely due to the differences in builds. I think there was a good video about this as to why there are so many shitty PC ports recently (again).

I went through a rough divorce and ended up just leaving it. Dont know what happened to it.

I do like how with consoles you know the game is going to work right off the bat

Its annoying having to spend time optimizing the various graphics settings to get the best balance of frame rate and visuals but its at least not very often

Who cares how good your hardware is when your flagship games, the ones you showed in 2020 to get me to buy an XSX, are nowhere to be seen? Avowed and everwild havent had a gameplay trailer since then, while the first three things that the Ps5 said were coming are already out.

This. Its crazy how it has barely anything. And they're the billion dollar giant. A lot of games and companies they have touched have gone to shit recently. Halo, scalebound, crackdown 3, ect.

Technically yes but it's much of a muchness. Especially when PS5 is generally the lead platform most of the time anyway.

Multiplats can end up better for either one but unless you look at Digital Foundry you probably wouldn't know what the difference is. It's really minor.
