I am not a big fan of roguelike, but damn this became fun quickly. Any advices?

it's an actiongame with 'roguelike elements' which just means if you die you don't usually get another chance to continue since developers can't make games of quality

weapons play differently
I beat it easily with the bow
dodge is super useful like in all action games where the dodge gives you iframes

this topic is giving me ideas.

must buy hades soon as it hits 20$ again.

omg nobody cares about this pedantic bologna

what a roguelike is has expanded nobody wants to use a bunch of dumb terms like roguelite and whatever else, if you want to talk about your very narrow window of what you consider to be a roguelike then the term true roguelike can be used boom roasted

Fantastic game. Ive seen a lot of people newer to the game say the shield is the easiest to use, but I found the spear to be fantastic. Get a good feel early on for which deities offer what and thatll make is easier to make choices as you go along.
super fundamental advice, but its been a while since Ive played. I absolutely love this game, tho. Good luck!

a lot of indie devs are just trying to put out arcade style games inn the idea of longing them oout so they mix the idea of a game like Rogue to b be the same as their game that has 'you die once you lose' idea
minecraft is like the best example of a quality game doing permanaent death without claiming it's a roguelike

"This ability grants a bonus of 5% damage per rank while Zagreus is above 80% health." So no just more damage when healthy.
