So there's 2 lists at my job. A volunteer list and a force list. If nobody volunteers then the top of the force list is forced to work their off day. I never had a job like this. We have lots or mandatory overtime and sometimes they ask for volunteers but if nobody volunteers they get voluntold as we like to say. It's always fucking me too. Why I never volunteer for shit cause I'm gonna get picked anyways if nobody else steps up --- I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process ... Last year I was working at a different location, department. Boss's didn't care if they changed your schedule without telling you. They forced me to do over time. But they make me work 6 days every other week. Aligned in a way that it wasnt technically overtime. With how pay period works. Some other employees Id see them change their days, and hours. Not illegal for anyone saying it is. It's just mandatory OT. They give people the option to volunteer and if not enough do then they just start picking people. I worked at a bk and saw the had manager make a guy clock out at 11:59 then clock back in at 12:01 so it would count as him starting a new day of a new week and thus not fall into overtime --- I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process ...
